It is an awful mistake to check the surf before heading to work inland. It was glassy and near perfect (for me) .. not too much of a crowd. It’s almost as if the ocean was calling out and asking me on a date, “come play!” she says.. and I had to politely decline. Working for someone else (still not making much) suddenly becomes so insignificant and money means nothing. Funny how waves can do that.. a ravishing hunger deep within to be out there.
